There are umpteen ways to seek security to one's self. There's education, there's family, friends and lot more...Why hide behind CASTE! When has casteism stood by its promise? Hasn't years and years of bloodshed not taught us anything. Isn't wasting a life for a belief incorrigible, when we are the ones who are the creators of the bloody belief. Human, where do you find yourself superior? Isn't it your thoughts and action that help you rise above others? How can something as trivial as caste be the one thing that defines a superior race as humanbeings! Aren't we, just being humans superior to most other organisms that thrive on earth? Isn't that the only position wherein we are above others! Who gave us the rights to superiorize amongst ourselves! Hasn't reasoning, education and judgement still not clouded this mean belief!

Dear Vennila, I respect your feel and appreciate your efforts. But, I feel, we are still ametures and need to go a long way to understand these complicated social problems. Ur thought of insecure feel behind castes might be right. But can u say replacing caste with education (or something else) for security will solve the problem? IITians, Private college, govt college, MBBS doctors, engineers, arts up to madu meippavargal, everybody see the others superior or inferior. You meant to say this classification is good and correct. Lot to discuss, let me finish with these two. 1. Insecure feel itself is bad. No other life in d world except human have this. 2. All humans are same either Aryan or Dravidian, Dr or madu meippavan.
ReplyDeleteAnna, I m not vouching on erasing a system in the blink of an eye. There can atleast be an exception in the case of love... We are people who got married with nothing but love in our hearts. I hope setting aside casteism for the sake of love will be a welcome start!
ReplyDeleteHmm, love marriages contributed a lot. May be that is the reason why those caste conscious people fears and kills. "Married with nothing but love in our heart", sounds great to hear. Marriage means a lot along with a little part of love.
